CASA Research and Evaluation.

Who we Are:
At CASA Research & Evaluation, we’re here to listen, learn, and help communities tell their own stories—on their own terms.

We’re a small, mission-driven team rooted in the belief that research should work with communities, not just about them. Whether we’re supporting a local youth program, evaluating a community health initiative, or helping a nonprofit collect feedback from the people they serve—our goal is the same: lift up real voices, bring clarity to complex issues, and support change that starts from the ground up.

What We Do:

We help organizations and grassroots groups understand what’s working, what needs to change, and how to move forward with purpose.
Our services include:

Community-Based Evaluation.
We help track the impact of programs—big or small—through surveys, interviews, and real conversations with those who matter most.
Needs Assessments.
We partner with local leaders to map out the strengths and struggles in their neighborhoods—so solutions come from lived reality, not assumptions.
Focus Groups & Listening Sessions.
We create safe spaces where people feel heard, respected, and represented—especially those too often left out of the data.
Survey Support.
We help design and run surveys in plain language, across languages, and in formats that work for real people—not just academics.
Equity-Centered Learning.
We bring a racial justice and equity lens to all our work, so that data reflects the full story—not just the loudest voices.

How We Work:

  • We believe good research starts with trust, not clipboards.
  • We show up in community canters, church basements, clinics, and living rooms—not just boardrooms.
  • We partner with community leaders from day one, and we pay people for their time and knowledge.
  • We prioritize accessibility—from bilingual materials to flexible meeting formats.
  • We make sure the final report isn’t just a PDF that gets shelved—it’s a tool people can actually use.

Who We Work With:

  • Whether you’re a small organization with a big mission or a city agency trying to reach people on the margins, we’re here to help you turn community insight into impact.
  • We partner with:
    1. Grassroots groups working on housing, health, food justice, and youth empowerment.
    2. Nonprofits and community coalitions.
    3. Local governments looking to center community voice.
    4. Schools, clinics, and neighborhood networks.
    5. Foundations funding place-based or equity-driven work.

Our Team:

We’re not a big firm—and we’re proud of that.

We’re researchers, organizers, educators, and community members who’ve worked inside nonprofits and out in the field. Some of us have advanced degrees. Others bring front-line experience you can’t learn in a classroom. Together, we’re united by a shared belief: people closest to the problem should be closest to the solution—and the data that drives it.

Got a project in mind? Not sure where to start? We’d love to hear from you.
